E10 Cosmology

Abstract: In this talk, I will review work done with A. Kleinschmidt (hep-th/0511290), where it is shown how to construct simple exact cosmological solutions to the E10/K(E10)coset model by exploiting its integrability. Using the known correspondences with the bosonic sectors of maximal supergravity theories, these exact solutions translate to exact cosmological solutions of M theory, first found by Townsend and Wohlfarth, and Ohta, exhibiting intermittent periods of accelerated expansion.
