Abstract: A theorem of Erdos-Kac states that the number of prime divisors of an integer behaves like a normal distribution (once suitably renormalised). In this talk I shall explain a version of this result for integer points on varieties. This is joint work with Efthymios Sofos and Daniel El-Baz.
