Abstract: Jet differentials on complex manifolds are geometric objects that formalize algebraic differential equations. They are useful in Kobayashi's theory of hyperbolicity, where we seek, for example, to show the algebraic degeneration of entire curves on projective manifolds of general type. In this talk, based on work in progress with Pierre-Emmanuel Chaput and Lionel Darondeau, I will present a construction of jet differentials and some ideas to prove the completeness of the resulting system.
