Abstract: This talk concerns the bi-orderability of pretzel knot groups which appears to have a weird connection to the Heegaard Floer properties of the cyclic branched covers of the knots. In a recent paper, several new examples of bi-orderable pretzel knots are found. We will discuss these results and some of their implications to this strange coincidence of orderability and Heegaard Floer.
