Einstein metrics on Stiefel manifolds and compact Lie groups

Abstract: I will review old and new results about $G$-invariant Einstein metrics on real, complex and quaternionic Stiefel manifolds $G/H = {V}_{k}\mathbb{F}^{n}$ $(\mathbb{F} = \mathbb{R}, \mathbb{C}$ or $\mathbb{H})$ and left-invariant Einstein metrics on compact simple Lie groups, which are not naturally reductive.
