GAN based MC event generators
Nobuo Sato Gonzalez (Theory Department, Jefferson Laboratory)
Abstract: MC event generators (MCEG) are crucial for studies in high energy particle reactions. At present, the state-of-the-art MCEG such as Pythia, Herwig involves a mix of theory input and models to describe the complex simulation of particle production of scattering experiments. In this talk I will describe a novel use of GANs to build a pure AI driven MCEG in order to mitigate potential biases from theory input and modeling which are needed for the exploration of hadron structure at existing experimental facilities such as Jefferson Lab, COMPASS at CERN, and the future Electron Ion collider.
