Edge Ideals of Graphs and Their resolutions
Arindam Banerjee (Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Educational and Research Institute)
Abstract: In this talk we shall introduce the notion of the edge ideals of a finite simple graphs. The study of the minimal free resolutions of these ideals gave rise to many results where interplay between algebra and combinatorics was the main essence. We shall discuss one such problem, namely for which graphs this resolution consists of linear maps.
