Abstract: Tennis and volleyball aren't just about athleticism — they're full of Math, whether we realize it or not. In this presentation, we'll dive into the key mathematical ideas that shape both sports. Whether it's calculating the perfect serve or analyzing player efficiency, we'll show how math is always in play.

Game, Set, Math! is on September 29th from 12:15 to 2:00 in Ingersoll 1146. It’s a fun mix of sports and math—basically, “sports, but ruin it.”

Speaker(s): Kimora Popplewell-Meade, Katherine Hepburn
