DESCRIPTION:Title: <a href="https://researchseminars.org/talk/HET/26/">Thr
ee-manifolds and entanglement</a>\nby John McGreevy (University of Califor
nia San Diego) as part of Purdue HET\n\n\nAbstract\nThe Entanglement Boots
trap is a program to understand liquid topological phases. The starting po
int is a single wavefunction satisfying two simple and well-motivated axio
ms about its entanglement structure. In 2+1 dimensions\, much of the alge
braic theory of anyons has been derived from this starting point. In this
talk\, based on work with Bowen Shi and Jin-Long Huang\, I'll describe so
me consequences of this line of thought in 3+1 dimensions\, where the rich
ness of low-dimensional topology plays a role.\n\nSome of this work has ap
 peared in https://arxiv.org/abs/2112.08398.\n
