 a class of groups that includes free groups\, free abelian groups\, right-
 angled Artin groups (RAAGs) and braid groups\, and is closely related to C
 oxeter groups\, which arise as quotients of Artin groups. In this talk\, I
  will introduce the isomorphism problem for Artin groups\, as well as isom
 orphism invariants that can be read from the defining graph. We will speci
 fically focus on the girth of the defining graph: I will give an algebraic
  characterisation of it\, showing that it is an isomorphism invariant.\n
