 64\n\nAbstract\nBabai's conjecture famously asserts that the diameter of a
 ny nonabelian finite simple group is bounded by a polylogarithmic function
  of its order. In this talk\, we explore a natural linear analog of this p
 roblem. After introducing the concept of the diameter of a Lie algebra wit
 h respect to a generating set\, we will establish an explicit polylogarith
 mic diameter bound for all nonabelian finite simple Lie algebras over a pr
 ime field.\n
