DESCRIPTION:Title: <a href="https://researchseminars.org/talk/AnLy/70/">Wa
rped Flux Compactifications: Effective Potentials and Numerical Geometry</
a>\nby Severin Lüst (Paris\, LPTHE) as part of AnLy Strings and Fields on
line seminars\n\n\nAbstract\nIn this talk\, I will discuss two complementa
ry approaches to warping in Type IIB flux compactifications. Such compacti
fications are a central ingredient in many string theory de Sitter constru
ctions. First\, I will describe a systematic derivation of warping correct
ions to the effective scalar potential and their implications for F-term d
e Sitter uplifting\, highlighting the challenges for control in KKLT and t
he LVS. I will then present numerical constructions of warped Calabi–Yau
backgrounds using physics-informed neural networks to approximate Ricci-f
lat metrics\, harmonic fluxes\, and warp factors. Applications to the Dwor
k family of quintics provide a concrete setting to explore warped throats
 and the singular bulk problem.\n
