ulations of Cosmic Ray Ensembles originated nearby the Sun</a>\nby David A
lvarez Castillo (The Henryk Niewodniczański Institute of Nuclear Physics)
as part of Computer Physics and Quantum Informatics Seminar\n\n\nAbstract
\nCosmic Ray Ensembles (CRE) are yet not observed groups of cosmic rays wi
th a common primary interaction vertex or the same parent particle. We sim
ulate the creation of CRE by the interaction of an ultra-high energy photo
n with the solar magnetic field which results in an electron pair producti
on and the subsequent synchrotron radiation. The produced photons form a c
ascade that extends even over tens of millions of kilometers when it arriv
es at the top of the Earth’s atmosphere\, with photon energies that span
practically the whole cosmic ray energy spectrum. In this talk I will pre
sent the results of applying a toy model to simulate the corresponding CRE
detections at the ground level using an array of ideal detectors of diffe
rent dimensions\, aimed at reconstructing the incident photon distribution
 .\n

, Jefferson Laboratory) as part of Computer Physics and Quantum Informatic
s Seminar\n\n\nAbstract\nMC event generators (MCEG) are crucial for studie
s in high energy particle reactions. At present\, the state-of-the-art MC
EG such as Pythia\, Herwig involves a mix of theory input and models to d
escribe the complex simulation of particle production of scattering experi
ments. In this talk I will describe a novel use of GANs to build a pure AI
driven MCEG in order to mitigate potential biases from theory input and
modeling which are needed for the exploration of hadron structure at exis
ting experimental facilities such as Jefferson Lab\, COMPASS at CERN\, and
  the future Electron Ion collider.\n

 s Seminar\n\n\nAbstract\nProjekt CREDO (Cosmic-Ray Extremely Distributed O
bservatory) powstał z potrzeby rejestrowania wielkich pęków promieniowa
nia kosmicznego w skali globalnej.
cieli udziału w Projekcie.\nPierwszym pytaniem jakie trzeba sobie jednak
 t obserwowany rozkład długości rejestrowanych śladów\, a konkretnie t
o\, że odpowiada on rozkładowi kierunków przychodzenia do powierzchni z
iemi niespójnych mionów promieniowania kosmicznego i temu będzie poświ
 ęcone to seminarium.\n

the development of experimental methods allows verifying many underlying h
ypotheses. However\, it is worth noting that the same theory can be repres
ented in several independent ways\, and each of them gives some insight in
to its mathematical structure. During the presentation\, the elements of t
his formulation of the quanta will be discussed\, and the results concerni
ng the dynamics of non-classical states in the phase space will be present

ep Learning Exotic Hadrons</a>\nby Lawrence Ng (Florida State University)
as part of Computer Physics and Quantum Informatics Seminar\n\nLecture hel
d in 421N.\n\nAbstract\nPentaquark candidates have been seen by LHCb in th
e J/ψ p spectrum. One such candidate is the narrow Pc(4312) state whose l
ineshape might be due to the opening of the threshold approximately 5 MeV
higher. A recent analysis by the Joint Physics Analysis Center\, JPAC\, ha
s suggested that the Pc(4312) is likely to be a virtual state. The amplitu
des developed in the JPAC analysis are used to generate the mass spectrum
that is used to train an artificial neural network\, ANN\, to classify the
nature of the Pc(4312) peak. Resolution and noise is also taken into cons
ideration. ANNs are typically seen as black boxes but their inner workings
can be understood by calculating the game theoretically optimal Shapley v
alues. The details and performance of the ANN will be presented.\n

Computer Physics and Quantum Informatics Seminar\n\nLecture held in 421N.
\n\nAbstract\nOne of the main objectives of the CREDO project is to search
for Cosmic-Ray Ensembles (CRE) which may\nappear if some number of high e
nergy cosmic-ray particles of a common origin enter the Earth’s atmosphe
re at\napproximately the same time. To confirm the existence of such pheno
mena a massive scale observation of Extensive Air\nShowers (EAS) in a very
wide energy spectrum and an analysis of their time correlations must be p
erformed. To make\nsuch observations possible\, an infrastructure of widel
y spread detectors connected in a global network should be\ndeveloped. Kno
wing the characteristics of EAS from more general simulations\, probabilit
y of cascade detection for certain\nsystem can be calculated. In this work
results from several versions of calculations\, with different complexity
level\, are\npresented and compared with the first measurement performed
with a test detector system. These results con- firm that\nmajority of eve
nts observed with a this small detector array are caused by cosmic-ray par
 ticles with very high energies.\n
