Abstract: We discuss open problems and recent progress concerning eigenvalues of Schrodinger operators with complex potentials. We seek bounds for individual eigenvalues or sums of them which depend on the potential only through some L^p norm. While the analogues of these questions are (almost) completely understood for real potentials, the complex case leads to completely new phenomena, which are related to interesting questions in harmonic and complex analysis.
