DESCRIPTION:Title: Équidistribution simultanée des orbites toriques\nby Farrell Bruml
ey (Université Sorbonne Paris Nord) as part of Séminaire de géométrie
ergence effective logarithmique.\n

nIn 2016 Mazur and Rubin put forth a number of conjectures concerning the
arithmetic distribution of modular symbols motivated by questions in Dioph
antine stability of elliptic curves. One of these conjectures predicts tha
t modular symbols should follow a normal distribution and another one is c
oncerned with the residual distribution of modular symbols. In this talk I
will give an introduction to these conjectures and discuss different resu
lts related to them. In particular\, I will present an automorphic methods
for proving residual equidistribution of modular symbols and for computin
g the variance (with a surprising connection to perturbation theory). If t
ime permits\, I will explain how these results can be generalized to class
es in the first cohomology of arithmetic subgroups of $\\mathrm{SO}(n\,1)$

DESCRIPTION:Title: Markoff triples\, Nielsen equivalence\, and nonabelian level structures<
/a>\nby William Chen (Columbia University) as part of Séminaire de géom
étrie arithmétique et motivique (Paris Nord)\n\n\nAbstract\nFollowing Bo
urgain\, Gamburd\, and Sarnak\, we say that the Markoff equation $x^2 + y^
2 + z^2 - 3xyz = 0$ satisfies strong approximation at a prime $p$ if its i
ntegral points surject onto its $\\mathbf F_p$ points. In 2016\, Bourgain\
, Gamburd\, and Sarnak were able to establish strong approximation at all
but a sparse (but infinite) set of primes\, and conjectured that it holds
at all primes. Building on their results\, in this talk I will explain how
to establish strong approximation for all but a finite and effectively co
mputable set of primes\, thus reducing the conjecture to a finite computat
ion. The key result amounts to establishing a congruence on the degree of
a certain line bundle on the moduli stack of elliptic curves with $\\SL(2\
,p)$-structures. To make contact with the Markoff equation\, we use the fa
ct that the Markoff surface is a level set of the character variety for $\
\SL(2)$ representations of the fundamental group of a punctured torus\, an
d that the strong approximation conjecture can be expressed in terms of th
e mapping class group action on the character variety\, which in turn also
determines the geometry of the moduli stack of elliptic curves with $\\SL
(2\,p)$-structures. As time allows we will also describe some applications

DESCRIPTION:Title: Monoidal structures on GL(2)-modules and abstractly automorphic represen

ométrie arithmétique et motivique (Paris Nord)\n\n\nAbstract\nConsider t
he function field $F$ of a smooth curve over $\\mathbf F_q$\, with $q \\ne
q 2$.\n \n L-functions of automorphic representations of $\\GL(2)$ o
ver $F$ are important objects for studying the arithmetic properties of th
e field $F$. Unfortunately\, they can be defined in two different ways: on
e by Godement-Jacquet\, and one by Jacquet-Langlands. Classically\, one sh
ows that the resulting L-functions coincide using a complicated computatio
n.\n \n Each of these L-functions is the GCD of a family of zeta int
egrals associated to test data. I will categorify the question\, by showin
g that there is a correspondence between the two families of zeta integral
s\, instead of just their L-functions. The resulting comparison of test da
ta will induce an exotic symmetric monoidal structure on the category of r
epresentations of $\\GL(2)$.\n \n It turns out that an appropriate s
pace of automorphic functions is a commutative algebra with respect to thi
s symmetric monoidal structure. I will outline this construction\, and sho
w how it can be used to construct a category of automorphic representation

t\nA rigid meromorphic cocycle is a class in the first cohomology of the g
roup $\\SL_2(\\mathbf Z[1/p])$ acting on the non-zero rigid meromorphic fu
nctions on the Drinfeld p-adic upper half plane by Möbius transformation.
The values of rigid meromorphic cocycles at real quadratic points are con
jecturally algebraic and are expected to play a role in the explicit class
field theory for real quadratic fields.\n\nIn this talk\, we discuss the
connection between values of rigid meromorphic cocycles at real multiplica

explain how this relation can be exploited to deduce the algebraicity of
real multiplication values in some cases. This is joint work with Henri Da

s predict the distribution of the $\\ell$-part of the class group of quadr
atic fields. Cohen and Martinet generalized them to extensions of an arbit
rary base field\, however\, these are no longer believed to be accurate wh
en the base field contains $\\ell$-power roots of unity. In joint work wit
h Michael Lipnowski and Jacob Tsimerman\, we give a corrected conjecture f
or quadratic extensions of a base field with arbitrary roots of unity. Thi
s conjecture is motivated by a function-field model\, where we prove it is
correct in the large $q$ limit of the large genus limit\, building on the
work of Ellenberg\, Venkatesh\, and Westerland. Our method involves defin

s of $p$-adic or loop groups (on the "automorphic\nside") and certain Lang
lands parameters in the Langlands dual group (on the\n"spectral side"). T
here has been recent interest in a categorical form of\nthis conjecture (f
ormulated by Scholze\, Zhu): on the spectral side\, upgrading\nthe set of
Langlands parameters to the category of coherent sheaves on a\nmoduli stac
k of parameters\, and on the automorphic side\, upgrading the set of\nirre
ducible representations to either Frobenius-twisted adjoint equivariant\ns
heaves on the loop group\, or sheaves on the moduli stack of principal bun
dles\non the Fargues-Fontaine curve.\n\nWe prove a subcase of this conject
ure\, i.e. a categorical version of Kazhdan\nand Lusztig's bijection betwe
en principal series irreducibles (i.e. those with\nIwahori-fixed vectors)
and "Springer block" unipotent Langlands parameters\n(i.e. certain q-commu

On présentera

DESCRIPTION:Title: Automatic de Rhamness of arithmetic local systems\nby Alexander Pet
rov (Harvard University) as part of Séminaire de géométrie arithmétiqu
e et motivique (Paris Nord)\n\n\nAbstract\nIt turns out that a geometrical
ly irreducible p-adic etale local\nsystem on a smooth variety over a p-adi
c field can be made de Rham by\ntwisting by a character of the Galois grou
p of the base field. This implies\nthat\, assuming the relative Fontaine-M
azur conjecture\, any "arithmetic"\nirreducible local system on a smooth v
ariety over complex numbers comes\nfrom geometry.\n\nThe proof uses the p-
adic Riemann-Hilbert correspondence of Liu and Zhu.\nTime permitting\, I'l
l also discuss a generalization of this result to not\nnecessarily irreduc
ible local systems that was observed by Beilinson. In\nparticular\, it imp
lies that the action of the Galois group on the\npro-algebraic completion
of the fundamental group is de Rham in the\nappropriate sense.\n

nLecture held in Salle B407\, bâtiment B\, LAGA\, Institut Galilée\, Uni

nLecture held in Salle B407\, bâtiment B\, LAGA\, Institut Galilée\, Uni

Naoki Imai.\n

un corps fini
\nde cardinal $q$\, l'étude du tenseur co

considérations algorithmiques : on souhaite connaître la complexité

\nune base sur $K$.
\nD.V. e

\ndu tenseur de multiplication. C'est le
\nplus petit

their duals\, obtaining a description of all different completed cohomolo

the infinite level Shimura variety. We shall mention how the understandi

(IHES) as part of Séminaire de géométrie arithmétique et motivique (Pa

lilée\, Université Paris 13.\n\nAbstract\nShafarevich proved that the se
t of non-isotrivial elliptic curves\nover a fixed base curve $B$ is finite
\, and conjectured a similar statement\nfor higher genus curves in his 196
2 ICM paper.\nThis conjecture was proven by Arakelov-Parshin in the 70's.
Subsequently\,\nin 1983\, Faltings investigated the analogue of these fini
teness theorems\nfor non-isotrivial abelian schemes\, and showed that one
can no longer\nexpect finiteness. The reason is simple: the moduli space o
f abelian\nvarieties contains product subvarieties. However\, combining Fa
ltings's work\non the boundedness of the moduli space of families of abeli
an varieties\nwith Grothendieck's work on Tate modules\, one can show the
finiteness of\npointed families of abelian varieties: For every smooth var
iety $B$\, every\npoint $b$\, every principally polarized abelian variety
$A$\, the set of\n$B$-isomorphism classes of principally polarized abelian
schemes $X\\to B$ with\n$X_b = A$ is finite. This finiteness statement (w
hich one may refer to as the\n"pointed Shafarevich conjecture") was extend
ed by Deligne to the larger\ncontext of moduli spaces with a quasi-finite
period map (e.g.\, moduli of\npolarized K3 surfaces\, polarized hyperkaehl
er varieties\, or polarized\nCY-varieties). But there are moduli spaces o
f varieties of general type\nwhich aren't known to have a quasi-finite per
iod map. Is there a similar\nfiniteness result for pointed families of suc
h varieties? In joint work\nwith Steven Lu\, Ruiran Sun\, and Kang Zuo\, w

a $p$-adic field. In contrast to the situation for complex\nrepresentatio
ns\, no classification of the irreducible supercuspidal mod $p$\nrepresent
ations of $\\mathrm{GL}_n(F)$ is known\, except in the case $\\mathrm{GL}_
2(\\mathbf{Q}_p)$. If $F /\n\\mathbf{Q}_p$ is unramified and $r$ is a gen
eric irreducible two-dimensional mod $p$\nrepresentation of the absolute G
alois group of $F$\, then nearly 15 years ago\nBreuil and Paskunas gave a
beautiful construction of an infinite family of\ndiagrams giving rise to s
upercuspidal mod $p$ representations of $\\mathrm{GL}_2(F)$ with\n$\\mathr
m{GL}_2(\\mathcal{O}_F)$-socle determined by Serre’s modularity conjectu

intervening years\nindicate that it is sufficiently general to capture th

.\n\nIn this talk we will review the ideas mentioned above and discuss how
to\nmove beyond them to consider ramified $p$-adic fields $F$\, or non-ge

construction\nof supercuspidal representations for certain ramified $F$ an
d generic $r$\;\nwhile this is the first such example for ramified $F$\, i
t involves a breakage\nof symmetry that makes it unlikely to figure in the
local Langlands\ncorrespondence for $r$. We then discuss works in progre
ss with Ariel Weiss\nand with Reem Waxman that shed new light on Breuil-Pa

DESCRIPTION:Title: Some new constructions of supercuspidal mod p representations of $\\mat

University) as part of Séminaire de géométrie arithmétique et motiviqu
e (Paris Nord)\n\nLecture held in Salle B407\, bâtiment B\, LAGA\, Instit
ut Galilée\, Université Paris 13.\n\nAbstract\nLet $F/\\mathbf{Q}_p$ be
a finite extension. In contrast to the situation for complex representati
ons\, very little is known about the irreducible supercuspidal mod $p$ rep
resentations of $\\GL_n(F)$\, except in the case $\\GL_2(\\mathbf{Q}_p)$.
If $F/\\mathbf{Q}_p$ is unramified and $r$ is a generic irreducible two-d
imensional mod $p$ representation of the absolute Galois group of $F$\, th
en nearly 15 years ago Breuil and Paskunas gave a beautiful construction o
f an infinite family of diagrams giving rise to supercuspidal mod $p$ repr
esentations of $\\GL_2(F)$ with $\\GL_2(\\mathcal{O}_F)$-socle consistent
with the Breuil-Mézard conjecture for $r$. While their construction is n
ot exhaustive\, various local-global compatibility results obtained by a n
umber of mathematicians in the intervening years indicate that it is suffi
ciently general to capture the mod $p$ local Langlands correspondence for
generic Galois representations.\n\nIn this talk we will review the ideas m
entioned above and discuss how to move beyond them to consider ramified $p
$-adic fields $F$\, or non-generic representations $r$ for unramified $F$.
We will describe a simple construction of supercuspidal representations
for certain ramified $F$ and generic $r$\; while this is the first such ex
ample for ramified $F$\, it involves a breakage of symmetry that makes it
unlikely to shed light on the local Langlands correspondence for $r$. We
then discuss works in progress with Ariel Weiss and with Reem Waxman that
aim to give a "correct" generalization of the Breuil-Paskunas construction
. A new feature is that we work with the category of mod $p$ representati
ons of $\\GL_2(R)$\, where $R$ is a quotient ring of $\\mathcal{O}_F$ that
is larger than the residue field.\n

.\n\nAbstract\nLet $K$ be a complete valued field extension of ${\\mathbb
Q}_p$ with perfect residue field. We consider $p$-adic representations of
a finite product $G^{\\Delta}_K$ of the absolute Galois group $G_K$ of $K$
. This product appears as the fundamental group of a product of diamonds.
We develop the corresponding $p$-adic Hodge theory by constructing analogu
es of the classical period rings ${\\mathbb B}_{\\rm dR}$ and ${\\mathbb B
}_{\\rm HT}$\, and multivariable Sen theory. In particular\, we associate
to any $p$-adic representation $V$ of $G^{\\Delta}_K$ an integrable $p$-ad
ic differential system in several variables ${\\mathbb D}_{\\rm dif }(V)$.
We prove that this system is trivial if and only if the representation $V
$ is de Rham. Finally\, we relate this differential system to the multivar
iable overconvergent $(\\varphi\,\\Gamma)$-module of $V$ constructed by Pa
l and Zabradi along classical Berger's construction. We will also deal wit
h some new ideas on locally analytic vectors in this framework. Joint work

S) as part of Séminaire de géométrie arithmétique et motivique (Paris
Nord)\n\nLecture held in Salle B407\, bâtiment B\, LAGA\, Institut Galil
ée\, Université Paris 13.\n\nAbstract\nIn 2017\, in https://arxiv.org/ab
s/1703.03545 \, Totaro initiated the study of\nde Rham cohomology of class
ifying stacks of reductive groups relating it to\nsome purely representati
on-theoretic data via Hodge-to de Rham spectral\nsequence. He was able to
explicitly identify de Rham cohomology with the\nsingular cohomology in mo
st examples and conjectured that at least an\ninequality of dimensions sho
uld hold in general. I will talk about joint\nwork https://arxiv.org/abs/2
105.05319 with A.Prikhodko where among other\nthings we proved this conjec
ture using prismatic cohomology. I will discuss\nsome particular examples
as well as the general strategy of the proof. If\ntime permits I will also
briefly talk about the results of our more recent\npaper https://arxiv.or
g/abs/2211.17227 where a version of rational Hodge\ntheory was established
for all Artin stacks with a smooth d-Hodge-proper\nintegral model. This i
mplies some new results on crystallinity of etale\ncohomology in the schem
atic setting as well.\n

DESCRIPTION:Title: On the p-adic interpolation of Asai L-values\nby Pak-Hin Lee (Leice
ster) as part of Séminaire de géométrie arithmétique et motivique (Par
is Nord)\n\nLecture held in Salle B407\, bâtiment B\, LAGA\, Institut Gal
ilée\, Université Paris 13.\n\nAbstract\nOne theme of the relative Langl
ands program is that period integrals of an automorphic representation of
$G$ over a subgroup $H$ often detect functorial transfer from some other g
roup $G'$\; moreover\, such period integrals often compute special L-value
s. It is natural to expect p-adic L-functions interpolating these period i
ntegrals as the automorphic representation varies in p-adic families\, whi
ch should encode geometric information about the eigenvariety of $G$. In t
his talk\, we consider the Flicker-Rallis periods\, for which $G =\\mathrm
{GL}_n(K)$ and $H = \\mathrm{GL}_n(\\mathbf Q)$ for an imaginary quadratic
field K and outline the construction of a p-adic L-function on the eigenv
ariety of $G$ interpolating certain non-critical Asai L-values. We discuss
the case n=2 in some detail before moving on to general n\, which is work
in progress with Daniel Barrera Salazar and Chris Williams.\n

DESCRIPTION:Title: Galois representation of partially classical Hilbert modular forms\
nby Chi-Yun Hsu (Lille) as part of Séminaire de géométrie arithmétique
et motivique (Paris Nord)\n\nLecture held in Salle B407\, bâtiment B\, L
AGA\, Institut Galilée\, Université Paris 13.\n\nAbstract\nLet F be a to
tally real field. A Hilbert modular form is a section of a modular sheaf\,
defined over the whole Hilbert modular variety associated to F\, while a
p-adic overconvergent form is defined only over a strict neighborhood of t
he ordinary locus. For each subset I of the primes of F above p\, one has
the intermediate notion of I-classical Hilbert modular forms by replacing
ordinary by I-ordinary. Given an overconvergent Hecke eigenform f\, we hav
e the associated Galois representation $\\rho$\, which is well-known to be
de Rham at p when f is classical. We prove that $\\rho$ is I-de Rham when
f is I-classical. The idea is to p-adically deform f in the weight direct
ion of the complement of I\, and knowing that classical points are dense a
nd I-de Rham points are closed when the I-Hodge Tate weights are fixed.\n

B\, LAGA\, Institut Galilée\, Université Paris 13.\n\nAbstract\nIl y a q
