  bulk mechanism of the stringy exclusion principle in the $AdS_3/CFT_2$ ca
 se. Consider the duality between string theory on $AdS_3 \\times S^3 \\tim
 es M_4$ and $Sym^N(M_4)$. At finite $N$\, both the chiral-chiral spectrum 
 and the number of the polar terms of the elliptic genus are finite. I will
  show that these finite-N spectra can be recovered by summing over the cor
 responding contribution from the  $(AdS_3 \\times S^3)/Z_k \\times M_4$ o
 rbifolds. Although each orbifold contributes an infinite series\, their su
 m reproduces the finite-$N$ boundary data due to the large cancellations i
 nduced by the bosonic negative modes of the orbifold saddles.\n
