 on Rayhaun (IAS) as part of NHETC Seminar\n\n\nAbstract\nI will introduce 
 the notion of an anomaly in the space of defect coupling constants\, gener
 alizing an analogous construction of Cordova\, Freed\, Lam\, and Seiberg. 
 I will explain how such anomalies\, together with more standard 't Hooft a
 nomalies and the irreversibility of the renormalization group\, can be use
 d to constrain the IR phases of defects in familiar quantum field theories
 . As an example\, I will use these techniques to provide evidence for a co
 njectural "spin-flux duality" which describes how certain line operators a
 re mapped across particle/vortex duality in 2+1d.\n
