 ormulations of the problems are reduced to equivalent boundary integro-dif
 ferential equations.\n Asymptotic solutions are constructed that describe 
 the initial and transient stages of the wave process\nunder free and force
 d accelerated motion of a cylinder from rest\,\n as well as for a tandem o
 f cylinders located in different layers.\nThe unsteady hydrodynamic loads 
 acting on a cylinder located near the free surface\nor the interface of a 
 two-layer fluid are determined.\n
