DESCRIPTION:Title: <a href="https://researchseminars.org/talk/lethep/1/">S
ome universal aspects in out-of-equilibrium physics (Lecture 1)</a>\nby Di
ptarka Das (IIT Kanpur) as part of LETHEP seminars\n\n\nAbstract\nAbstract
: In these lectures we shall discuss universalities in non-equilibrium ph
ysics. A primary goal is to understand the late time fate of a closed quan
tum system subjected to out of equilibrium dynamics. Typically\, systems e
xhibit thermalization\, or at any rate some kind of equilibriation. To und
erstand the fate is to identify the final ensemble that describes the syst
em at late times. The other closely tied goal is to understand the mechani
sm that leads to the equilibriation. The physics becomes more interesting
in presence of $\\textit{chaos\, symmetry breakings}$ and $\\textit{critic
al points}$. We will touch upon these various issues\, while aiming to get
some universal lessons in order to help build non-equilibrium intuition.\
