 Abstract\nI will present some quantitative results about the ample cone of
  the moduli spaces of KSB stable and K-stable varieties of any dimension. 
 These results follow from various higher dimensional generalizations of th
 e Xiao-Cornalba-Harris slope inequality. Our proofs combine some new Noeth
 er and Castelnuovo inequalities with a careful study of the Harder-Narasim
 han filtration of the push-forward of the log pluri-canonical bundles. The
  talk is based on a joint work with Luca Tasin and Filippo Viviani.\n
