 nAbstract\nTesta classified the components of the moduli space of rational
  curves on a del Pezzo surface over an algebraically closed field of chara
 cteristic 0. In characteristic p\, new pathologies can appear. I will expl
 ain how such pathologies are predicted by Geometric Manin's Conjecture and
  how this perspective leads to a description of "problematic" surfaces. Wh
 en no pathologies occur\, we can completely classify the components of the
  moduli space of rational curves. This is joint work with Roya Beheshti\, 
 Eric Riedl\, and Sho Tanimoto.\n
