DESCRIPTION:Title: <a href="https://researchseminars.org/talk/ZAG/160/">Un
doing toric degenerations: an analogue of Greene-Plesser mirror symmetry f
or the Grassmannian</a>\nby Elana Kalashnikov (Harvard University) as part
of ZAG (Zoom Algebraic Geometry) seminar\n\n\nAbstract\nThe most basic co
nstruction of mirror symmetry compares the Calabi–Yau hypersurfaces of p
rojective space and projective space quotient a finite group G. There is a
natural analogue of this finite group action on the Grassmannian Gr(n\, r
 ). In this talk\, I'll explain how toric degenerations\, blow-ups\, variat
ion of GIT and mirror symmetry relate the Calabi–Yau hypersurfaces of Gr
(n\,r) and Gr(n\,r)/G. This is joint work with Tom Coates and Charles Dora
 n.\n
