 s out that any generic polytope defines a system of quadrics in R^n and C^
 n. Moreover\, topology of these quadrics are determined by combinatorial s
 tructures of the polytopes. We will consider some examples and will discus
 s some manifolds ( defined by system of quadrics) with highly nontrivial t
 opology. If time permits\, we will talk  about relations between toric man
 ifolds and quadrics.\n\nThe talk is postponed.\n
