DESCRIPTION:Title: <a href="https://researchseminars.org/talk/WCS/26/">Aut
omorphisms of graphs with a forbidden minor</a>\nby Pascal Schweitzer (Dar
mstadt) as part of Warwick Combinatorics Seminar\n\n\nAbstract\nAccording
to Frucht’s classic theorem\, every finite group is the automorphism gro
up of a finite graph (up to isomorphism). We say the class of all graphs i
s universal. Babai proved in 1974 that graph classes with a forbidden mino
r\, such as planar graphs\, graphs of bounded genus\, and graphs of bounde
d tree width\, are not universal. He also made three conjectures regarding
automorphisms of such graphs. I will describe a structure theorem of auto
morphism groups of such graphs\, affirming these conjectures.\n\nThis is j
oint work with Martin Grohe and Daniel Wiebking.\n
