 Lanczos method as an efficient way of describing operator dynamics. The st
 arting point is the thermal autocorrelation function that endows the Lancz
 os coefficients with temperature dependence.  I will describe how the temp
 erature dependence of the Lanczos coefficients can be recast as a classica
 l integrable system which can be formally solved as an initial value probl
 em. I will give examples and discuss potential applications.\n
