DESCRIPTION:Title: <a href="https://researchseminars.org/talk/UEAPS/67/">D
roms’ theorems for twisted right-angled Artin groups.</a>\nby Islam Foni
qi (University of East Anglia) as part of ANTLR seminar\n\nLecture held in
LT 4.\n\nAbstract\nRight-angled Artin groups (RAAGs) form an important li
nk between combinatorics and group theory\, since the structure of the gro
up is determined by its defining graph. Twisted right-angled Artin groups
(T-RAAGs) generalize this idea by adding directed edges\, which allow us t
o encode both commutation and certain “twisted’’ relations. In this
talk\, based on joint work with Simone Blumer and Claudio Quadrelli\, we e
xplain how Droms’ classical theorems for RAAGs extend to this broader se
tting. We determine exactly which T-RAAGs have the property that all finit
ely generated subgroups are again T-RAAGs\, give a graph-theoretic criteri
on for coherence\, and solve the isomorphism problem for an important subc
 lass.\n
