Gapped phases and phase transitions from the SymTFT</a>\nby Lea Bottini (O
xford) as part of Symmetry Seminar\n\n\nAbstract\nThe symmetry topological
field theory (SymTFT) has emerged in the past years as a key tool to stud
y generalized symmetries. In this talk\, I will explain how we can use it
to determine gapped infra-red phases of 2d theories that have a symmetry S
 \, which in general is non-invertibile. Moreover\, I will introduce a gene
ralization of the usual SymTFT framework that is useful to characterize ph
ase transitions between such gapped phases. The SymTFT also manifestly enc
odes the order parameters for the phases\, thus providing a generalized ve
rsion of the Landau paradigm for categorical symmetries.\n
