 >On the conjugacy depth function for Grigorchuk's group</a>\nby Alex Bisho
p (Université de Genève) as part of West Switzerland Geometry\, Algebra
and Topology Seminar\n\n\nAbstract\nIt is known that the Grigorchuk group
is conjugacy separable\, that is\, for each pair of non-conjugate elements
\, there exists some finite quotient in which the elements are also not co
njugate. It is then natural to ask how large of a quotient is necessary to
distinguish elements of a given length? The size of such quotients is me
asured by the conjugacy depth function. In this talk\, we present bounds o
n the conjugacy depth function for the first Grigorchuk group.\n
