 in\nthe modern representation theory.\nI will explain the interplay betwee
 n different exact structures on an\nadditive category and degenerations of
  the associated Hall algebras. For\nthe categories of representations of D
 ynkin quivers\, this recovers\ndegenerations of the negative part of the c
 orresponding quantum group. I\nwill sketch the proofs of our results in th
 e general case based on\nAuslander-Reiten theory. We will discuss further 
 examples and\, if time\npermits\, certain generalizations involving extria
