 ">Quantum codes\, lattices\, and conformal field theories</a>\nby Anatoly
Dymarsky (U. Kentucky & Skoltech) as part of Rencontres Théoriciennes\n\n
Lecture held in online only.\n\nAbstract\nThere is a deep relation between
classical error-correcting\ncodes\, Euclidean lattices\, and chiral 2d CF
Ts. We show this relation\nextends to include quantum codes\, Lorentzian l
attices\, and non-chiral\nCFTs. The relation to quantum codes provides a s
imple way to solve\nmodular bootstrap constraints and identify interesting
examples of\nconformal theories. In particular we construct many examples
of\nphysically distinct isospectral theories\, examples of "would-be" CFT
 \npartition function -- non-holomorphic functions satisfying all\nconstrai
nts of the modular bootstrap\, yet not associated with any\nknown CFT\, an
d find theory with the maximal spectral gap among all\nNarain CFTs with th
e central charge c=4. We also discuss averaging\nover the ensemble of all
CFTs associated with quantum codes\, and its\npossible holographic interpr
etation. The talk is based on\narXiv:2009.01236 and arXiv:2009.01244.\n
