DESCRIPTION:Title: <a href="https://researchseminars.org/talk/QTFMS/23/">C
 onfinement on $R^2 \\times T^2$ with ‘t Hooft Flux\, QCD Chiral Lagrangi
an and $\\eta'$</a>\nby Yuya Tanizaki (Kyoto University) as part of Quantu
 m Theories of Fields\, Matter\, and Strings\n\n\nAbstract\n4d gauge theori
es are strongly coupled at low energies\, and their\nanalytic computations
are quite tough problem. In recent years\, there was a\ndiscovery that $4
 d$ QCD on $R^2 \\times T^2$ with the baryon-‘t Hooft flux accepts\nweakl
y-coupled description with maintaining its interesting features: We\ncan d
erive the chiral effective Lagrangian analytically with including the\n$\\
eta'$ field. We then show that the $\\eta'$ vortex in this $2d$ setup can
be\nidentified as the quark itself\, and we discuss its connection with\nK
 omargodski’s pancake baryon scenario.\n
