 \n\n\nAbstract\nI will describe a novel analytic approach to the conformal
  bootstrap in CFTs in general dimension. The approach is based on the cons
 truction of a certain basis of linear functionals acting on the conformal 
 crossing equation. The technique is particularly useful in holographic CFT
 s\, where it directly constrains the low-energy physics. I will explain ho
 w our approach is related to the conformal dispersion relation and Polyako
