DESCRIPTION:Title: <a href="https://researchseminars.org/talk/PUHET/15/">A
lgebra of diffeomorphism-invariant operators in JT gravity from the Peierl
s bracket</a>\nby Daniel Harlow (MIT) as part of Princeton HET seminar\n\n
\nAbstract\nIn this talk I will discuss recent work with Jie-qiang Wu\, wh
ere we use the covariant method of Peierls to compute the algebra of a wid
e variety of diffeomorphism-invariant operators in arbitrary states of Jac
kiw-Teitelboim gravity coupled to matter. We are then able to recast many
recent results as consequences of this algebra\, including the scrambling
time calculations of Shenker and Stanford\, the traversable wormhole of G
 ao\, Jafferis\, and Wall\, and the SL(2\,R) generators of Lin\, Maldacena\
, and Zhao. We are also able to clarify some aspects of the "firewall typ
icality" argument of Marolf and Polchinski. The algebra is quite rich\, s
o we suspect there are more applications to be discovered.\n
