DESCRIPTION:Title: <a href="https://researchseminars.org/talk/PSMQFT/12/">
Dynamics and spectrum in the semiclassical limit for non-self-adjoint oper
ators</a>\nby Alix Deleporte (Laboratoire de Mathématiques d'Orsay\, Univ
ersité Paris-Saclay) as part of Probability\, Statistical Mechanics and Q
uantum Fields\n\n\nAbstract\nOne of the early achievements of microlocal a
nd semiclassical analysis was the asymptotic description\, in a large freq
uency / small parameter case\, of eigenvalues and (in the integrable case)
eigenfunctions of self-adjoint operators. This is related to a refined de
scription of the dynamics through the well-known Egorov theorem: quantum e
 volution is well-approximated by classical evolution.\nThe non-self-adjoin
t case presents serious additional difficulties. Making sense of the appro
priate "classical" objects\, and proving the correspondence\, necessitates
a great deal of supplementary geometric and analytic work.\nIn this talk\
, I will present the challenges associated with non-self-adjoint semiclass
ical analysis\, and describe recent results as well as perspectives.\n
