DESCRIPTION:Title: <a href="https://researchseminars.org/talk/PIMS_GAP/19/
">Decay and fission of magnetic quivers</a>\nby Antoine Bourget (CEA Paris
-Saclay) as part of PIMS Geometry / Algebra / Physics (GAP) Seminar\n\nLec
ture held in THORV 124.\n\nAbstract\nOver the past 5 years\, the stratific
ation of 3d Coulomb branches into symplectic leaves has been the subject o
f intense work in the physics community. Mathematically\, this corresponds
to understanding the nested singularity structure of conical symplectic s
ingularities. This class includes Nakajima quiver varieties\, slices in af
fine grassmannians\, instanton moduli spaces\, and much more. In this talk
\, I will review the methods that have been developed\, centered on the co
ncept of magnetic quivers. I will show how insights from string theory pro
vide easy algorithms that can be implemented on a computer.\n\nHybrid deli
very (in person on University of Saskatchewan campus and via Zoom).\n\n(Th
is is part of a series with https://researchseminars.org/talk/PIMS_GAP/18/
  occurring immediately before this talk.)\n
