DESCRIPTION:Title: <a href="https://researchseminars.org/talk/OLS/210/">Co
hesive powers of Galois extensions</a>\nby Henry Klatt (George Washington
University) as part of Online logic seminar\n\n\nAbstract\nA cohesive prod
uct is a computability theoretic analog to an ultraproduct\, in which the
domain is restricted to a collection of partial computable functions\, and
the role of the ultrafilter is played by a cohesive set. Unlike the ultr
aproduct\, the cohesive power is always countable\, but it only obeys a fr
agment of Łoś's theorem. In this talk we discuss recent work with Rumen
Dimitrov\, Valentina Harizanov\, and Keshav Srinivasan on the relationshi
p between cohesive products of various fields and their Automorphism group
s to the Galois groups of the base fields.\n
