 is is a relatively recently introduced concept for numerical\nsolving of p
 artial differential equations which bridges the gap between\ngeometric mod
 elling and numerical simulation/analysis.\n\nIn this talk\, the isogeometr
 ic analysis is used for numerical simulation of\nincompressible fluid flow
 . We give an overview of the method which shares many\nfeatures with Finit
 e Element Method\, but different meshes and basis functions\nalso lead to 
 significant differences. We present advantages and drawbacks of the\nmetho
 d which we have encountered during development of incompressible turbulent
 \nflow solver and we focus on our results concerning isogeometric mesh gen
 eration\,\nstabilization methods and solving systems of linear equations i
 n this context.\n
