DESCRIPTION:Title: <a href="https://researchseminars.org/talk/NSCM/44/">Sa
ddle-point problems with bilinear Lagrangian and convex constraints: anal
ysis\, numerical solution and applications</a>\nby Stanislav Sysala (Insti
tute of Geonics\, Cz. Acad. Sci.) as part of Nečas Seminar on Continuum M
echanics\n\n\nAbstract\nThe first part of the talk is concerned with an ab
stract inf-sup problem \ngenerated by a bilinear Lagrangian and convex con
straints. The \nconditions that guarantee no gap between the inf-sup and r
elated sup-inf \nproblems are studied. A particular attention is devoted t
o the inf-sup \ncondition defined for convex cones in function spaces. Nex
 t\, a \nregularization method convenient for solving the inf-sup problem i
s \nanalyzed and a computable majorant of the critical (inf-sup) value is
\nderived for purposes of a posteriori error analysis of numerical \nresul
ts. The second part of the talk is devoted to applications of the \nabstra
ct framework to continuum mechanics. In particular\, examples of \nlimit l
oad problems and similar ones arising in classical plasticity\, \ngradient
plasticity and delamination are introduced. The presented \nresults follo
w from the joint work with Daya B. Reddy\, Sergey Repin and \nJaroslav Has
 linger.\n
