DESCRIPTION:Title: <a href="https://researchseminars.org/talk/NSCM/171/">T
ime-periodic solutions to an interaction problem between compressible visc
ous fluids and viscoelastic beams</a>\nby Ondřej Kreml (Institute of Math
ematics\, CAS) as part of Nečas Seminar on Continuum Mechanics\n\nLecture
held in Room K3\, Faculty of Mathematics and Physics\, Charles Universit
 y\, Sokolovská 83 Prague 8..\n\nAbstract\nWe study a nonlinear fluid-str
 ucture interaction problem\nbetween a viscoelastic beam\nand a compressibl
e viscous fluid. The beam is immersed in the fluid\nwhich fills a two-\ndi
mensional rectangular domain with periodic boundary conditions in both\ndi
rections\,\nwhile both the beam and the fluid are under the effect of time
 -periodic\nforces. By using\na decoupling approach\, at least one time-per
iodic weak solution to this\nproblem is con-\nstructed which has a bounded
energy and a fixed prescribed mass. The\nlack of a priori\nenergy bounds
is overcome by a series of estimates based on a careful\nchoice of paramet
ers.\nThe time-periodic solution is constructed by a series of limit\nproc
 edures.\nThis is a joint work with V. Mácha\, Š. Nečasová and S. Trifu
 nović.\n
