">Photon trajectory beyond the critical impact parameter</a>\nby Manuela K
ulaxizi (Trinity College Dublin and NKUA) as part of NKUA HEP Seminars\n\n
\nAbstract\nWhen a highly energetic particle traverses a black hole experi
ences a time delay and angular deflection\, which combine easily to produc
e a standard phase shift for scattering off a very massive particle. The p
icture drastically changes when the impact parameter attains values beyond
a critical one\; then the phase shift acquires a small imaginary part\, i
ndicating inelastic scattering. What happens to the original time delay an
d deflection quantities?Do their complex valued counterparts for impact pa
rameters beyond the photosphere make sense? We will investigate this quest
ion in the context of an AdS black hole and the dual CFT description.\n
