 ing new playground to study RG flows and their endpoints. After reviewing 
 some basics of defect CFTs\, I will present a detailed study of supersymme
 tric monodromy defects (also known as magnetic defects) in four and three 
 dimensional systems. We will measure the response of the system to the ins
 ertion of the magnetic solenoid\, and in the four dimensional case will ca
 lculate new central charges which appear in the trace anomaly. We close by
  commenting on new possible monotonic quantities in these new mixed dimens
 ional systems.\n
