DESCRIPTION:Title: <a href="https://researchseminars.org/talk/NKUA-HEP/21/
">B-type anomaly coefficients of holographic defects</a>\nby Γεώργι
ος Λιναρδόπουλος (Asia-Pacific Center for Theoretical Physi
cs) as part of NKUA HEP Seminars\n\nLecture held in High Energy Group semi
nar room\, 3rd floor.\n\nAbstract\nEven dimensional conformal field theori
es (CFTs) develop conformal/Weyl anomalies which inflict a (non-vanishing)
expectation value on the trace of the energy-momentum/stress tensor. The
presence of boundaries in CFTs gives rise to extra anomaly coefficients an
d extra central charges\, which show up in both even and odd dimensions an
d can be used to classify defect CFTs\, much like central charges are used
to classify pure CFTs.\n\nThis talk is about the computation of boundary
anomaly coefficients in (codimension-1) holographic defect CFTs. These are
described by domain wall versions of N = 4 SYM that are holographically d
ual to the D3-D5 and the D3-D7 probe-brane systems. Starting from the expl
 icit expression of the improved energy-momentum tensor of N = 4 SYM\, we w
ill determine its two and three-point functions in the presence of the dom
ain walls and extract the boundary anomaly coefficients\, to leading order
in perturbation theory. In the same process\, we will also determine the
two and three-point function of the corresponding displacement operators.\
