DESCRIPTION:Title: <a href="https://researchseminars.org/talk/NKUA-HEP/20/
">Carroll black holes</a>\nby Daniel Grumiller (TU Wien) as part of NKUA H
EP Seminars\n\n\nAbstract\nAfter laying dormant for about half a century\,
Carroll symmetries recently attracted considerable attention\, in part be
cause conformal Carroll symmetries are equivalent to the BMS symmetries fo
und in asymptotically flat spacetimes and thus play a key role in flat spa
ce holography. Making Carroll symmetries local yields Carroll gravity\, wh
ich I shall review. We define Carroll black holes as solutions of Carroll
gravity that exhibit Carroll thermal properties and have a Carroll extrema
l surface\, notions explained in my talk. [arXiv:2308.10947]\n
