">Counting Arithmetic Progressions in Finite Rings</a>\nby Haydar Göral (
IZTECH) as part of METU Mathematics General Seminar\n\n\nAbstract\nFinding
arbitrarily long arithmetic progressions in certain subsets of the intege
rs has become one of the most important problems in mathematics over the l
ast century. One of the most famous results in this area was proved by Sze
merédi in 1975\, and it states that every subset of the positive integers
with positive upper density contains arbitrarily long arithmetic progress
ion. In this talk\, we will discuss some results concerning the number of
3-term arithmetic progressions in certain subsets of finite rings using fi
nite Fourier analysis.\n\nInterested participants may send an email to Oğ
uz Şavk to receive the Google Meet link.\n
