 Abstract. The study of flocking motion has found widespread applications i
 n fields such as biology\, ecology\, robotics\, control theory\, sensor ne
 tworks\, sociology\, and economics. The most celebrated model in this mult
 idisciplinary area is given by Cucker and Smale (which is referred to as t
 he C-S model hereafter). In this talk\, we will begin by briefly reviewing
  the C-S model and its extensions. Motivated by the fact that every comput
 er is a finite automation\, we next address a C-S model that is discrete i
 n both time and state.\n
