 nIn recent joint work with H. Duminil-Copin\, K. Kozlowski\, and I. Manole
 scu\, we proved convergence of the full-plane six-vertex model towards the
  Gaussian free field\, with an explicit scaling constant. The proof involv
 es both techniques from non-integrable systems (percolation theory\, refle
 ction positivity) and integrable systems (Yang-Baxter\, Bethe Ansatz). The
  purpose of this talk is to give a high-level overview of the proof and a 
 glimpse of the ideas involved.\n
