 ors\, first developed in algebraic quantum field theory and more recently 
 adapted to quantum spin systems by Naaijkens and Ogata\, provides a rigoro
 us description of the anyonic excitations hosted by gapped ground states o
 f (2+1)-dimensional quantum systems. After a brief introduction to the gen
 eral framework\, I will sketch how the sector theory can be computed expli
