DESCRIPTION:Title: <a href="https://researchseminars.org/talk/HET/6/">Enta
nglement in scattering and the S-matrix bootstrap</a>\nby Aninda Sinha (In
dian Insititute of Science) as part of Purdue HET\n\n\nAbstract\nI will ta
lk about how relative entropy\, a concept in quantum information theory to
distinguish two density matrices\, behaves in 2-2 scattering in quantum f
ield theory\, string theory\, chiral perturbation theory and the numerical
S-matrix bootstrap. In the context of massive quantum field theories\, I
will derive high energy bounds on relative entropy as well as study the Re
gge behavior. Then I will turn to the S-matrix bootstrap. I will give a br
oad overview of what this program is about and how to constrain pion scatt
ering with it. Here\, some insight from relative entropy will prove to be
handy to constrain the space of S-matrices. I will discuss some ideas base
d on minimization of total scattering cross-section to constrain pion S-ma
trices further\; curious coincidences such as boundary of allowed S-matric
es being close to the Lovelace-Shapiro model of early string theory\, emer
ging linear Regge trajectories\, as well as reduction in Entanglement powe
r near the standard model point will be discussed.\n
