DESCRIPTION:Title: <a href="https://researchseminars.org/talk/HEPTUW/17/">
Limits of JT gravity</a>\nby Jakob Salzer (Harvard) as part of HEP seminar
s TU Wien (Vienna)\n\n\nAbstract\nJackiw—Teitelboim (JT) gravity is a mo
del of two-dimensional dilaton gravity that has been central to many inter
esting developments (e.g.\, SYK model\, random matrix models\, island prop
osal) in the last couple of years. In this talk I will discuss various lim
its of JT gravity\, including Newton—Cartan (non-relativistic) and Carro
llian (ultra-relativistic) versions of two-dimensional dilaton gravity. Af
ter defining suitable boundary conditions\, I will then discuss the issue
of constructing boundary actions that capture the non-trivial dynamics at
 the boundary of these models.\n
