DESCRIPTION:Title: <a href="https://researchseminars.org/talk/FHD3/13/">En
strophy and black hole supertranslations</a>\nby Natalia Pinzani-Fokeeva (
MIT) as part of Frontiers of Holographic Duality-3\n\n\nAbstract\nEnstroph
y is an approximately conserved quantity in 2+1 dimensional fluid flows th
at has dramatic consequences for the phenomenology of nonrelativistic turb
ulence: it implies an inverse energy cascade. In this talk\, I will presen
t an algorithm on how to construct an enstrophy current for generic fluid
flows (relativistic and non). In addition\, I will show how a subset of ce
rtain horizon symmetries of 3+1 dimensional AdS black holes also lead to e
nstrophy conservation in the dual holographic fluid theory.\n
